The Automatic Leader Method Helps You Close the Knowing/Doing Gap

I’ve long been aware of and thought about the “knowing/doing” gap. We can often figure out what we should be doing, but we have a devil of a time actually doing it.
Using the framework of ACAR which is awareness, choice, action, results, we can understand this gap by noting that there is one primary point of failure, and that’s the Action (doing) part.
Note that even the awareness part is a struggle for many people because they don’t seek new knowledge or become members of a mastermind group, etc. And those who increase awareness often struggle with choice. There is so much information out there, that it becomes difficult to decide which approach to follow. It’s too much and ultimately paralyzing.
But the real failure is in the Action. Even when people are “aware“ and develop the proper “choices,” they find it extremely difficult to take action. There are many reasons for this, but a few of them are: lack of time, lack of confidence and lack of a simple and systematic approach.
Traditionally in business the way we overcome this is to get a third-party coach or consultant to help us do it or do it for us. This is an expensive and typically slow, uncertain approach. Because of that, many companies don’t go that way, and thus they don’t bridge the gap to results.
Where we come in is that we do the Awareness for our customers, then we give them the proper Choices, having curated all the knowledge and selected what really matters, and finally we make the Action super easy and economical with our tools and an optional guide to help us do it and get through it. We make Action very quick, very easy and very affordable. And the result is … RESULTS!
Side note: because we struggle with the steps to achieve results, i.e. awareness, choice and action, we rarely achieve the results we hope for and over time we lower our expectations of what’s possible for us. We settle for OK instead of Amazing and Spectacular. That’s too bad. :( OK is not OK!! especially when amazing is available to us. Let’s not settle for less - when amazing is clearly within reach (when you follow the Automatic Leader Method).
BTW When we leaders are willing to settle for less, we not only hurt the business, but we hurt ourselves in terms of what we experience, what we accomplish, and how we feel. And we do the same for the people on our team.
The ALM method, guides leaders to levels of success/results that they never thought possible. ALM helps them raise their standards and achieve new high highs by making the path simple, easy, fun and affordable.
Bottom Line - All leaders can achieve outstanding results, automatically, when they overcome the challenges of awareness, choice and action. Especially Action.
Indeed, great success can be “automatic.“ When you take the ALM ACAR steps all the way through, you inevitably get to the end, the results. You “do” and you “get.” It’s cause and effect. It’s automatic. If you’re not getting the results it’s not that you can’t, it’s that you‘re not “doing.” We make the doing easy.
